Teas for Stress Management – Why Drink Them?

Cup of tea

After a long hard day at work, we just want to relax. And we should because it’s well deserved. But sometimes, no matter how hard we try to relax, we just cant. The stresses of that day just won’t leave our mind and it causes tension in our bodies and sleepless nights. So what can we do to combat this? One way is to relax with a cup of tea!

This article is going to discuss the 3 best herbal teas for stress management.

Why Drink Herbal Tea When Stressed?

Many people tend to reach for an alcoholic beverage when they feel stressed out. And though I don’t condone drinking alcohol, there is a time to drink it, just not when we feel stressed. This is because even though alcohol may help drown our stresses for a time, it can actually make the stress worse. Why? Because alcohol makes the liver work harder and it doesn’t have many benefits to help heal the body. And this in turn could cause severe health issues.

A better alternative is herbal tea! Why? Because the herbs in tea have many benefits that can help fight the symptoms of stress and promote peace of mind and relaxation, helping to heal the body.

I heard about an experiment where people were handed a hot drink or a cold drink by a stranger, the people who got handed the hot drink perceived the giver as warm and friendly!!!
The people handed the cold drink, perceived the giver as such!
